Come to Australia, it is full of opportunities; Kenyan leaders in Western Australia say

Kenyan leadership based in Western Australia has urged Kenyans to immigrate to the country as it is full of opportunities.

Present during the presser were; Denis Langat who is the president of Kenyan Community in Western Australia (KCWA), Tabitha Gikonyo, Hilda Bitange who is the Gusii forum Community president, Alfred Koech Sergent, Dr. Ronald Isaboke, Boniface Kamau, Daniel Pate who also doubles up as the OAC champion 2023, Judith Rono a student leader and Fr. Cyprian Shikokoti who also doubles up as the chaplain for the Kenyan Community in WA.

Mr. Langat took the opportunity to mourn the deaths of three Kenyans that they are currently mourning in the area. 

According to Hulda, Kenyans in WA have lost about 5 people in the last six months. She also noted that recently, a number of Kenyans have been involved in crimes while also a significant number is battling mental health challenges.

On his part, Alfred Koech stated that while in Kenya recently, he visited about six counties. He also noted that the reception was quite overwhelming. Further, he stated that they were working closely with Community leaders in WA to address the emerging challenges facing the Kenyan Community.

On his part, Dr. Isaboke stated that Australia remains a great destination for Kenyans seeking to travel abroad. According to him, Australia offers a great deal of opportunities for those seeking to relocate. He also acknowledged the great role Kenyans in Western Australia have played in Building the community and also in remittances back home.

Daniel Pate stated that Kenyans in Australia have remained vibrant through their subsequent community organizations. " We have a vibrant community organizations here in WA, we have the Kitwek, Mwanyangetige for the Gusii, Mulembe, Ramogi, Wamusii, Urumwe and the Ameru communities that are quite vibrant." He stated. He added that these community organisations complement the larger Kenyan community.

Father Cyprian who has been In Australia for 18 years stated that he has spent 13 of those years as a Fr. Practicing in Australia. He called on the parents of young inexperienced adults to have candid discussions with their Kin. 

The President further reiterated on the opportunities available in Australia. " there are many opportunities over here, I can attest to that having lived here for quite a while" he stated.

He also thanked the Kenyans in WA for the great support they have accorded the leadership and how firm they have stood with fellow Kenyans who have had misfortunes in the past. He also urged Kenyans in WA to make sure they join Community groups so as to get support and offer support when need arises.
