Nandi governor Stephen Sang has said that Kenya needs a Ruto presidency. Speaking at a popular facebook live show hosted by political commentator Gerald Bitok, the governor insisted that Ruto has had a clear and tested track record.
"Looking at his perfomance objectively, one cannot miss to point out the tremendous successes he has had previously as a cabinet minister. He did very well while at the Agriculture and Higher educational ministries. This shows that Kenya will be lucky to have a ten year Ruto precidency" Said Sang.
Ruto who has recently faced a number of challenges at his Jubilee party, has been slowly mobilizing his troops in what many believe is towards the formation of a new political outfit that would see his name in the ballot.
Jubilee Asili Centre
The deputy president recently held a meeting with leaders allied to him at the newly established Jubilee Asili Centre. This revelation quickly excited his supporters who have for a long time felt that Ruto was being sidelined in the management of the Jubilee party which he is a deputy leader.
Sang stated that this centre was an office set up to help in the coordination of political activities by the faction affiliated to Dp William Ruto. He said that it was prudent that the team mobilizes all like minded individuals to ensure that a Ruto win is guaranteed in 2022.
"You are all aware that some of the leaders affiliated to William Ruto have been denied access to the Jubilee headquarters in Pangani, Nairobi. We had to do something about it, we've had to set up the office to help in coordination of our activities." Said Sang.

Sang who has been facing a myriad of challenges and accusations of misappropriation of public funds stated that he was keen on ensuring that funds are safeguarded in Nandi. He refuted any alleged attempt to pilfer public funds.
When asked whether he Purchased Cement at an exhorbitant price of Ksh. 9000/= per bag, the governor denied those allegations terming them as unrealistic and untrue.
"How could anyone do such a thing? The matter arose as a typing error by my staff. It has been handled and the concerned parties have already been punished since we can't condone such happenings. We have in the past bought cement at prices ranging from Ksh. 850 to 900. We set aside a price estimate of Ksh. 910 factoring in the taxes, profits and transport by the suppliers." He said.
"We are also aware of allegations of expired cement. I cannot purport to deny it. There has been cases of expired cement but the number is negligible not as is being exaggerated by our politicians." He further stated.
SANG, CHERARGEI FEUD
The governor also spoke on his alleged feud with Senator Samson Cherargei. He accused him of forming an alliance with his political detractors all in preparation for the 2022 general elections.
"The senator is doing his oversight work, I am doing the execution of my work. Ordinarily, the relationship between an executive and the person doing the oversight is not going to be rosy, it is bound to get rough and my Senator has perfected that. In another two years, we are going back into an election cycle and every politician has his detractors. There is an alliance between the Senator and my future competitors." Said Sang.

FUTURE AMBITIONS
Sang stated that he will be seeking to defend his gubernatorial position in 2022. He said that he was looking to finish on his inaugural projects that he began immediately he was sworn into office.
"I made up my mind to run for governor seat Nandi County back in 2016. I was concerned with the high number of strikes by the healthcare providers in the county. I would be called in on several occassions to broker a deal with the striking doctors, I was concerned with the state of roads among other factors." He said.
"Since I took office, my focus has been on opening up the road networks in the county. I have not tarmacked any roads yet since my focus has been on ensuring that we have feeder roads for our people to ensure that their produce gets to the markets on time." He added.

"The healthsector has been one of the areas we have invested heavily on. So far, we have about 42 dispensaries that are ready for opening. We have further enhanced our referral hospital in Kapsabet, established an oxygen plant, doubled the number of doctors, building of a mother and child centre in Kapsabet is ongoing. This and other ongoing projects are a clear indication of the investments we've made in the health sector. I will be seeking to be re-elected to finish some of these projects" Said Sang.
The governor also used the opportunity to thank the people of Nandi for having faith in him and his administration.
