The union is decrying the delays in disbursement of salaries to its union members. The health workers have not received their May salaries.
In a letter seen by Nandi News dated 16th June 2020 addressed to the County Secretary, the union was concerned over the chronic delay of salaries.
It accused the county government of disregarding labor laws and the general Welfare of the hardworking staff. They also questioned why the government remained silent over the issue.
The union made a number of demands including, the demand for Salaries due to the employees for the month of may 2020 to be paid within 72 hours, and that salaries for subsequent months be paid by 2nd of the succeeding month without delay.
It also warned that it would resort to Salary parades and lawful withdrawal of services should the county fail to honor the demands set by the union.
They also called for the payment of COVID-19 allowances as stipulated by the SRC.
The County government of Nandi has delayed disbursement of salaries for the month of may to its employees across all sectors.
