Many know him as this funny character who always posts captivating stories on the various Nandi County Facebook groups. However, that is not all that Brian Tanui has to offer. A sit down with the humble Brian would definitely enlighten you on what the young mind has to offer.

The 26 year old was born and raised in Nandi. He is the second born in a family of four. He started schooling at St. Philips Primary school, then joined Terige High School for his secondary education. He joined Ariads College where he studied procurement before joining Moi university where he pursued a course in Disaster Management.

When asked to describe himself, Brian stated that he is a young selfless youth born in Kapsabet, and is always ready to offer solutions to any kind of problem. I decided to venture into politics after observing my greatest political mentor William Ruto beating all odds to become the person he is right now.



WHY HE WANTS THE KAPSABET MCA SEAT

Brian believes he has what it takes to lead the people of Kapsabet. "I have been a resident of Kapsabet all my life, I know what ails our home area, the road challenges, access to tap water among other issues have been with us all through. It is time I took part in ensuring that we get better services as a people." he said while on phone with our reporter.

Brian says that he is running for the election under five point manifesto which include; 

  • Ensuring inclusivity of the marginalized and vulnerable groups in the community
  • To empower the youth economically through advocacy
  • To promote early childhood education in the ward
  • to ensure accountability of the budget and expenditure of the executive
  • Link youth to potential employers and opportunities

Brian was also quick to remind our reporter that people should not judge him for what he posts on social media.

"For those always seeing me on social media, they shouldn't judge me from my posts. I do them to give people hope for what they do and that they should tirelessly do it, especially those in the creative and comedy industries.

Brian is expected to battle it out with the incumbent Hon. Fred Kipkemboi and others yet to declare their interests publicly.
