With barely a year into the next general elections and slightly under ten months before the hotly contested party primaries, candidates have come out in their numbers to declare their interest in various seats. Nandi hasn't been left behind in the political games, a number of candidates have declared their interests in various positions.
In the race for the Woman Representative seat, quite a number of formidable contenders have shown interest. It is however not known whether the incumbent, Hon. Tecla Tum will be defending her seat with grapevine indicating that she might be eyeing a member of parliament seat in one of the constituencies in Nandi.
Former Woman representative, Hon. Zipporah Kering who was also being seen as a possible contender has also indicated that she might be vying for a member of parliament seat in one of the constituencies.
With the on goings, then it is possible that the seat will be attracting new entrants. already, a number have shown their interest in the seat.
CYNTHIA J. MUGE
She is the current Member of County Assembly of Kilibwoni Ward, Nandi County. A fierce politician who was elected back in 2017 on her first stab in politics as an independent candidate. She was then the youngest elected MCA in the country.

Cynthia is an active debater in parliament and has been on record defending the rights of the citizens she represents.
Hon. Cynthia is looking to tap into her experience in legislation and her track record to clinch the Woman Rep seat come 2022. She has been making inroads at the grassroots with indications that her approach are slowly bearing fruits.
SHEILA JELIMO
So far, she is the youngest entrant into the race. Born and raised in Mosop, Nandi County, Sheila has hit the ground running. Her charismatic nature, her charm, her grasp of issues and her brilliance have slowly won her admirers and critics in equal measure.

Sheila has a history of politics going back to her campus years when she was elected the Secretary General of her student body while at the Multi Media University where she pursued a degree in computer science.
"I have always been interested in leadership and politics," she said at a recent interview with Nandi News.
Sheila is building a strong political base mainly comprised of youth who are ready to go the extra mile in the campaign. She is optimistic that she will clinch the seat.
CLARA MELI
A politician with great oratory skills. She is currently a nominated MCA in Nandi. She is in the race to clinch the woman representative position. She also hails from the expansive Mosop Constituency.
An advocate for women and children rights, Mrs. Clara is looking to use this as her stepping stone into the woman representative position.
The above three contestants have put their house in order and made declarations that they are gunning for the woman representative seats.
