Speaking at a funeral service in Kesses, the governor stated that he would focus on ensuring that peace prevails among communities in the county.

"Since BBI did not accept the scrapping of term limits for governors, after I end my term I will be free because I won't have other work." Mandago said.

"I will be working on peace in the region as I won't be vying." He added.

He also cautioned leaders against causing divisions in the country as he would ensure those who attempted to do so are dealt with in accordance with the law.
