Treasury CS Ukur Yattani has extended the KRA commissioner general James Githi Mburu's term by an extra 2 years.
In a special gazette notice dated 13 August 2020, Mr. Mburu will now serve as the taxman boss for a total of 5 years since being appointed in June 2019 by former Treasury CS Henry Rotich taking over from John Njiraini who was appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta while he was the Finance Minister.
The former KRA's Intelligence and Strategic Operations commissioner is set to serve until July 1, 2024
