Instead, the governor has stated that the county bought 4000 and not 400 bags at the above quoted price translating to ksh.910/= per bag of cement.
The list has a variety of goods and services the government procured. In the list, the county acquired window panes worth ksh. 3,456,000/=, assorted paints worth ksh. 5,144,480/=, Sand, quarry stones worth ksh. 2,003,000/=, assorted timber worth 7,450,400/= and fuel worth ksh. 1000,000/=. However, the list did not give a clear indication of each quantity received by the county.
OVERSIGHT
Ol'lessos Ward Member of County Assembly, who also doubles up as the chair Education and Vocational training Committee at the county Assembly Hon. Mengeech has confirmed that indeed the initial list was the correct one received at the assembly.

"We received the letter being disputed by governor Sang at the Assembly, I wonder why he is so quick to go on the defensive." Said Mengeech
"We approved 27 Million shillings for completion of the projects that were pending from the 2017/2018 financial year. The list came in as part of various issues that we had sought from the education department to justify their spendings."

Senator Samson Cherargei was also quick to bash Sang's administration. Through his facebook page, the senator accused the county of misappropriation of public funds and called the relevant investigative agencies to come in and right the wrongs being perpetrated to the people of Nandi.
He stated that the ongoing investigations into the world bank funded projects in Kapsabet would unearth massive misappropriation of public funds.
