Nandi: UDA’s Vincent Kiplimo Ruto wins Chemundu Kapngetuny Ward seat

UDA candidate Vincent Kiplimo Ruto has won the Chemundu Kapngetuny Ward by election after collecting 2999 votes. His closest competitor, KANU’s Julius Korir Letting, finished second with 475 votes.

The results were announced at the constituency tallying centre where the electoral commission issued Kiplimo with his certificate. Officials praised the calm and orderly conduct of the poll, noting that all candidates followed the election guidelines.

Kiplimo thanked the commission for what he described as a fair and peaceful process from the start of the campaign to the close of voting. He also appreciated the support from the United Democratic Alliance and praised President William Ruto for standing with him throughout the race.

He further thanked the voters of Chemundu Kapngetuny for trusting him with their votes, saying the victory belonged to them. Kiplimo also recognised the police for maintaining security and local leaders who attended the tallying centre to witness the announcement.
