Work with Ruto, Sonko tells Kalonzo

Immediate former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has asked Kalonzo Musyoka and William Ruto to work together.

The former governor was speaking while in Machakos county during the burial ceremony of the late Machakos Senator Bonface Kabaka.

According to Sonko, the former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka was being duped to work with the current regime.

"Hao watu wanakutapeli, niko na evidence ya ile mipango wako nayo kwako" (those people are duping you, I have evidence of what they have planned for you") Said Sonko amid cheers from the crowd.

Sonko recently fell out of favor with state operatives and was impeached on Thursday last week after the Senate Special Sitting found him guilty of all the charges levelled against him by the County Assembly of Nairobi.

The former Nairobi boss had failed to approve a budget that would see the newly established Nairobi Metropolitan Services receive a huge chunk of the budgetary allocations.

Sonko has already indicated that he would be opposed to the constitutional amendments being fronted by government. He asked Kalonzo to lead the No movement in Ukamabani as their regional kingpin.
