Cherargei: Sang and allies are fleecing Nandi County

Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei

Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei has claimed that Nandi Governor Stephen Sang and his close allies are fleecing Nandi county through dubious businesses.

The Senator was speaking when he presided over a sports event organized within the county at the new year's eve.

He stated that, there were some allies and legislators whom whenever they came to Nandi for any function, were quick in telling the residents that Sang is a performer and that he should be protected.



"If you are a friend to the governor and come to Nandi, you are only allowed to speak on two thing; that is "Bwana Asifiwe" and RUTO." He said amidst cheers from the crowd.

"There are people who come here to disturb us telling us to protect Sang, and that he is working. How do you know? If you claim that he is working why don't you take him to your counties?" He added.

The senator claimed that he was aware that some legislators outside the county are doing business with Nandi Government hence their continued interference. 

"I know they are the cartels who are involved in businesses with Nandi. they are working on our hospitals, roads and other infrastructural projects being undertaken in the county." Said Cherargei.

The Senator and the governor have had a love hate relationship throughout their terms. 

JUBILEE POLITICS

The senator, a close ally of the deputy president gave an indication that William Ruto might be using a new party in advancing his presidential ambitions.

"We are tired of Jubilee Party. We have been humiliated, blackmailed and embarrassed." Said the Senator.

The Senator also hinted that before leaving the party, they would ensure that it is completely destroyed, and that they would take their share out of Jubilee.

UDA PARTY

Cherargei hinted tat Deputy President William Ruto might opt to use the United Democratic Alliance Party to seek the presidency.

"William Ruto's journey to statehouse is unstoppable, he might use the wheelbarrow party to propel him to statehouse" he said.
