Moses Kuria: My house and I will vote No for BBI if these changes are not made

Gatundu South member of parliament Moses Kuria has said that he wouldn't be supporting the recently launched BBI constitution Amendments.

The legislator stated that the document would be a burden to Kenyans as it is seeking to increase the number of representatives to 640.

"Unless the BBI Constitution Amendment Bill is revised to remove creation of a 640 Member parliament- including nomination of 180 women MPs- me and my house will vote NO. I urge all my friends and supporters to do the same. This economy is in ICU. We cant afford it. You decide if you want food on the table or salaries and big cars for 640 MPs." He posted on Facebook.

The document has continued to elicit mixed reactions from different players. It has received its fair share of condemnation from leaders allied to William Ruto.

Recently, the Deputy President who was expected to lead a no campaign against the amendments has maintained that he is for a non contested referendum.
