Over the weekend, Dr. Ruto was in Mombasa County where he met various groups including inter-religious groups.
Ruto has insisted that leaders who have been charged with the responsibility of safeguarding public resources should do so diligently.
"Matters of accountability are not issues that can be negotiated or explained about using other ways other than the law. Those engaging in the misappropriation of public resources must be held liable." He said.
Ruto has in the recent past been on a collision path with the government. He has taken a combative approach.
In an interview on a local media house, Ruto claimed that Jubilee party had been hijacked by conmen and busy bodies who were out to destroy it. He also claimed that the handshake was derailing the government's agenda.
