A contingent of police officers deployed to track down and arrest Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi over alleged hate speech remarks against President Uhuru Kenyatta and Mama Ngina have finally left his home after being unsuccessful in their mission.
The officers who had camped outside the law maker's home for several hours on Friday, September 11 at night finally managed to break into his gate at around 3AM on Saturday, September 12 only to find him missing in action.
Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen shared on Twitter a video of the officers leaving Sudi's compound in lorries and police vehicles.
"Police leaving Hon. @HonOscarSudi ‘s home after guarding him for the whole night. Believe it or not Oscar is still missing 😂😂😂", tweeted Murkomen.
Murkomen posted another tweet saying the MP was safe and would be arriving in Nairobi soon to present himself at the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) offices on Monday, September 14.
"Hon. @HonOscarSudi is safe. He is almost arriving Nairobi. We shall prepare him tomorrow and present before NCIC on Monday. Thank you all for you support." wrote Murkomen
