Kirinyaga members of County Assembly have threatened to impeach governor Ann Waiguru.
This comes after the leaders failed to agree on the county's budget.
Governor Waiguru had sued the Assembly after they slashed the executive budget by about 30% a figure she says is way above that stipulated by the law which limits the powers by MCAs to vary a budget by only 1% of the ceilings.
The MCAs have given governor Waiguru a seven day ultimatum to withdraw the case which is pending determination at the highcourt failure to, they have threatened to instigate a fresh impeachment motion.
The MCAs have accused the governor of throwing the county into a financial crisis due to the court case.
They claimed that county employees are yet to receive their July Salaries.
Accordingly, the members of the Assembly have said that efforts to resolve the matter have borne no fruits despite having eight sittings with the governor.
Waiguru has vowed not to approve the budget after the MCAs slashed a substantial amount from the executive.
