Elgeiyo Marakwet Senator Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen has congratulated Ida Odinga over the fundraising she organized for the construction of a school library in her former school.
The outspoken former Majority leader however was quick to remind others who have been opposed to harambees on its importance.
"Congratulations Mama Ida on the successful Ogande Girls Library & Resource Center fundraiser. Raising Kshs.176,945,116 is no mean feat.Those who have been attacking other leaders who support projects through harambee should learn from Mama Ida that kutoa ni moyo usambe ni utajiri." He posted on his Twitter account.
Raila Odinga has been quite vocal on the issue of harambees. He has been on the crossroads with Dp William Ruto over his sources of funds for church harambees.
Mama Ida's harambee managed to raise over Ksh 170 Million. The library is set to cost 300Million.
