Is Cherangany member of parliament slowly making his way into Deputy President William Ruto's camp?
If recent happenings are things to go by, then the legislator is making his way back.
Recently, the MP has had a fallout with Gideon Moi, and has accused him of being behind the woes facing Kalenjin professionals.
According to Kutuny, the Baringo Senator has been firing professionals from the Kalenjin backyard and replacing them with his allies.
Recently, a video of the legislator addressing members in his Kalenjin dialect has emerged. In the video, Kutuny is heard asking William Ruto to support BBI as it would create more vacancies for Ruto to dish out to his support bases accross the country.
Kutuny is heard saying that with the creation of five more positions, the Dp who in 2022 shall be running for presidency could dish out the deputy position to someone from central, the PM position to someone from Western, the DPM position to someone Mombasa and Kisii giving him a leeway in locking the regions into his vote basket.
Kutuny has been a strong critic of the deputy president. During 2013-2017 election cycle, the legislator was floored after he fell out with the DP.
He was picked by President Kenyatta as an advisor and he used that position to strategically endear himself to the electorate.
He was elected in the 2017 election once again under a campaign dubbed "heshimu raiya."
Soon as he got back to parliament, the young legislator once again fell off woth the Deputy President. He has used every opportunity to politically attack the Dp.
However, recent events have shown otherwise. Mr Kutuny has softened his stand against the DP with indications that he might be warming up to the camp.
