Well wisher offers to build a decent toilet for girl whose mom was recorded cheering her

After a video of a mother cheering her daughter (Joan Jebet) who was battling out in 3000M race during the High school games went viral, a number of netizens were heart warmed.

Joan Jebet is a Form two student at songoliet Secondary school. She's a talented and passionate middle - distance runner who hails from Ongata Village in Megun, Kapseret Sub- county in Uasin Gishu and is the sixth born in a family of nine.

'I thank God for the talent. My background motivates me so much to work even harder.' Joan told a team composed of well wishers from Landson Foundation, Rosalva Kogo ( Mother to Chebor Kogo-USA) and a teachers' representative from Songoliet Secondary. 

Initially, a group of teachers from Uasin Gishu had visited the same family with an aim of helping the young athlete achieve her dreams.

The well wishers have resorted to having a WhatsApp platform that will help them discuss and raise funds for a project that will be agreed on.

Special thanks goes to Chebor Kogo of USA who pledged to contribute Ksh. 150,000, Kering (Australia) who has Pledged to put up kitchen for the family, Landson Foundation for donating running apparels, Alfred Koech Sergent - Australia who posted about the situation of the home on his social media page, Bernard Kosgei ( Gov Bii's PA) who has contributed 10k and individuals who have made contributions to the Family's treasurer (Babyline Chemutai -0728785273)

The team is hopeful that all the intended goals will be achieved to finality.
