"I will unseat Senator Gideon Moi," Felix Kiprono Chelaite says

The young man from Baringo is nothing but ambitious. The daunting task ahead of him is that of trying to unseat the very wealthy and politically connected Baringo Senator Gideon Moi.

For Felix Kiprono, he is aware of this herculean task that awaits him if he is to realize his political dream of becoming the Baringo Senator.

Felix hails from Aiyebo, Kabartonjo, Baringo North, Baringo County. His was a struggle like any other Baringo resident. Being born and raised at the arid area, the politician had to focus more on uplifting himself from the shackles of poverty, and strive to be whoever he is now!

He is now working in Western Australia, and is seeking the 2022 Baringo Senatorial seat through William Ruto's party.

CAREER

Mr. Felix has worked for various reputable organizations in and out of Kenya. As an accountant, he has worked with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants Kenya (ICPAK), banking sector, government agencies, real estate, oil and gas industries.

According to Mr. Felix, his experience in the various sectors has enabled him gain immense experience and networks that he intends to use to benefit the people of Baringo.

"I have over time gained experience through the various organizations I have been engaged with. I am looking forward to use this experience in serving the people of Baringo." said Felix through a phone conversation with Nandi News.

LIFE IN BARINGO

The aspiring senator says that he has witnessed firsthand the biting poverty, perennial hunger and insecurity in Baringo. 

"I have witnessed first hand the suffering in Baringo. I have had to walk for miles in search of water, watched my people stripped off their dignity through relief food by the government and other well wishers," he said.

Felix however believes that there is still hope for the residents. 

"I understand that these challenges are not permanent and can be solved through improved and committed leadership. I now have a resolve to offer myself for the people of Baringo so that we can collectively find a lasting solution to these problems," he added.

HIS RESOLVE

Mr. Felix Kiprono has vowed to improve the lives of the residents of Baringo. He believes that through his experience and vast networks, he will be able to change and better the lives of the locals.

"My aim is to build bridges for our people to cross from poverty, diseases and security threats, to improved health and security by systematically developing legislation and voicing local issues at the National level through the senate." said Felix.

He believes that he has what it takes to deliver Baringo from the chains of poverty.

"I want to see the dignity of the elderly restored and the dreams of the young realized." he added.
