Kenya's first Covid-19 patient contests for Miss Tourism crown in Malaysia

The first Covid 19 patient in Kenya, Ivy Brenda Rotich is chasing her dream to be crowned miss Tourism international in Malaysia on Sunday 17th January 2021.

The 27 year old will be competing with other 30 beauty contestants from different parts of the globe. She took to social media to urge Kenyans to vote for her and help bring the crown home.

"Meet your new Miss Tourism delegate to Malaysia . Join me as i battle it out with Miss Tourism contestants from all over the world for the Final Crown. Help me bring the crown home so the world can discover Kenya's magical story and the untold wealth of destinations. Go to the Miss Tourism International page and vote for me by commenting ''I VOTE KENYA'' under their Facebook post Let's run this !..." She wrote.

Brenda catapulted in the limelight on Wednesday 1st April 2020, when she shared her Covid 19 recovery story with President Uhuru Kenyatta and the public where she narrated the mixed emotions that accompanied the realisation that she was the first Kenyan to contract Covid-19 after travelling from the United States of America.

Brenda is a peace ambassador and human rights activist according to her Facebook Profile.
