Samuel Muchoki Ndirangu alias Samidoh is one of the most celebrated Mugithi musician in Kenya who also doubles up as a police officer, enforcing the law during the day and entertaining thousands of fans at night with his outstanding musical prowess.
Born in Subukia, Nakuru county in 1990 as the third born in a family of six boys, he grew up in Oljororok, Nyandarua county.
The musician who sat his KCPE in the year 2004 in Kieni primary school and KCSE in 2008 at Oljororok secondary school started music at a very early age while still in school and would lead the worship team at the Christian Union.

He then joined the Administration Police Service in the year 2013 and was first posted in Eastleigh, Nairobi before being transferred to Mpeketoni in Lamu and later in Dadaab in Garissa county. He currently serves at the National Police Service headquarters in Westlands, Nairobi.
Musical Comeback
Samidoh made a musical comeback in 2016 and recorded his first single titled Ndiri Mutwe Mwega (I don't have a good head). Since then his music has taken an upward trajectory making him a house hold name within his Kikuyu community and all over the country.
The father of two, a girl and a boy, says he composes his songs out of creativity, his own life experiences and matters of public interest.
With over 15 songs and many others recorded but yet to be released, Samidoh says his is a one man guitar style of music, where he sings while playing the guitar while backed up by a drummer and vocalist.
His first show was on Christmas day of 2016 at a local club where he was paid Shs 30,000 for a performance, an amount that made him realise he had a huge potential of earning good money through his music.
