Nandi: Tragic end as Mother, Grand Child are swept by raging floods

Tinderet MP Julius Melly at the tragic site where a mother and her grandchild were swept by floods

Tragedy has once again struck in Nandi county after a mother and her child drowned. It is said that both were swept away by raging floods at the Ainapngetuny river Matambach area, Nandi County.

The news was shared by the area MP Hon. Julius Melly through his Facebook page.

"We are all saddened by the loss of a mother and her grandchild after they were swept by the raging waters of Ainapngetuny river at Matambach.May their souls rest in eternal Peace.Mutyo." He posted.

This comes barely a few days after a lady identified as madam Dorothy Jepkemoi Chumba fell and drowned at the Chepkiit falls. Search efforts to retrieve the body are ongoing.
