Nandi: Reprieve as body of Dorcas Jepkemoi who drowned at Chepkiit falls is finally retrieved (photos)

Family and friends of Dorcas Jepkemoi at the Chepkiit waterfalls earlier today

Family and friends of the late Dorcas Jepkemoi Chumba can breath a sigh of relief after the body of their loved one was finally retrieved.

Dorcas was involved in an accident at the waterfalls last Sunday and efforts to retrieve her body had proved futile due to the raging waters at the falls.

Family and friends have been gathering at the Chepkiit falls to try and find their beloved daughter.

The late had paid a visit to the tourist attraction site located in Nandi. She was in the company of her boyfriend Mr. Kazungu. As they were taking photos of her, she slid and fell into the falls.

Through the efforts of the county government of Nandi, who facilitated divers from Bomet county, the family can now rest.

The family is now organizing a befitting burial for their loved one.
