Kenyans were treated to a rare spat between Elgeiyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Environment Cabinet Secretary Keriako Tobiko.
The two leaders were at each other's throats over remarks they both made at different times.
It all started when Murkomen in an interview castigated President Kenyatta over what he termed as mistreatment of the deputy.
Murkomen who never minces his words said that the President and his people were mistreating Dr. William Ruto despite the effort and commitment he put up to ensure that president Uhuru Kenyatta retained his seat in the 2017 polls.

A day later, CS Tobiko while accompanied with other CSs in Kajiado asked the Dp and his allies to respect president Uhuru Kenyatta. This did not go down well with Kipchumba Murkomen who told off the CS telling him that he was being disrespectful to his boss.
In a rejoinder, Tobiko said that he was respectful to the president and that the DP who is a clerk to the president ought to do the same to.
Murkomen once again called out the CS saying that Mr. Tobiko had been placed in that Ministry after he failed to perform as the DPP.
He said that Mr. Tobiko was a nobody and couldn't win an MCA seat at his hometown.
"Mr. Tobiko you are a mere clerk in Jubilee govt. You forget so fast that you became a CS because the President was trying to get rid of you from the office of DPP. You have no moral authority to lecture your boss the DP even if he is being molested by his boss.First try to be MCA." Said Murkomen.
He added "We have a CS who is mentally deranged.Just because of one tweet he has exploded&now promising to revenge against me&my father. Never mine the facts he will find some crime somewhere in the books.Just imagine this idiot was once our DPP!From Embobut to Tobiko I say come baby come!"
Evictions
The Environment CS has warned that Murkomen risks being evicted from his Embobut home which he said is part of the forest. He insisted that all water catchment areas will be conserved and all illegal encroachment dealt with. This he said will be done regardless of political affiliations.
Murkomen also accused president Kenyatta of overseeing his officers attacking his deputy.
"Without the blessings of the President these idiotic CSs would never have insulted the DP.William Ruto is not anyone’s clerk,he was jointly elected with the President&without him Uhuru would not be President&Tobiko would never be a clerk. In a working state Tobiko would be sacked." He said.
Lately, the Elgeiyo Marakwet Senator has been taking the head of state head on unlike the past where he would attack Mr. Raila Odinga.
