Moses Kuria hospitalized over Covid-19

Gatundu Member of parliament Moses Kuria has shared pictures of himself while admitted at Karen Hospital.  The legislator through his facebook page stated that he had been admitted for over 27 days due to Covid-19.

The legislator advised Kenyans not to lower their guard down as the disease is real.

"I really hope that beyond all the debate around Covid-19, all and sundry will not forget that Corona Virus is real. The worst thing we can do is to lower our guard! And above all let us remember our gallant front line workers- Not just doctors and nurses like but subordinate staff who put their lives in the line of danger to give care to Corona Virus patients." He posted

"If you are in a hospital bed- Like myself for the last 27 days here at Karen Hospital you witness  first hand the amount of sacrifice they make amid very difficult circumstances. You learn to focus more on the virus and our front line workers, and less on side shows. We shall overcome COVID-19." He added.

The virus which was first reported in Kenya back in March has had tremendous effects on the daily livelihoods of most citizens.

Over 30,000 cases have been reported ever since the first case. The government was forced to scale down on its operations for the past five months due to the effects of the pandemic.

Kuria, who has always been a vocal legislator suddenly disappeared, leaving most Kenyans wondering of his whereabouts.

Recently, Covid-19 cases have been on a steady decline. President Kenyatta has attributed this to the actions that were taken by his administration including the enforcement of the health act.

The President has however cautioned Kenyans against reverting to their normal routines as this would reverse the gains made so far.
