A police officer stationed at Nandi Hills police station has been arrested and placed in custody for the offence of defilement where he is to be arraigned in court on 18/08/2020.
The police constable identified as Eregae Ekiru is alleged to have defiled a 16 year old juvenile named Scovia Akinyi who is in custody as a child in need of care and protection after having reported another defilement that is before court.
The minor alleged to have been taken to the officer's house at around 10PM on 17/08/2020, defiled and taken back to cell.
The report was made by another remandee namely Isaac Wanjala Barasa aged 24 years being held at the cells for the offence of defilement who alleged to have seen the officer through a ventilation at the male cells taking the juvenile.
