Nandi: 61 Confirmed Covid-19 cases 2 fatalities recorded

The county government of Nandi has reported 61 cases of the Covid-19 virus since it was first recorded in the country.

According to data by the county government, the virus has been recorded in 22 out of the 30 wards.


Chesumei Subcounty has recorded the highest number with 19 individuals coming from the area. The wards affected include, Kaptel, Lelmokwo, Kosirai and Chemundu.

Aldai Subcounty has recorded 14 cases of the virus. Kabwareng, Koyo/Ndurio, Kaptumo and Kobujoi are the wards affected.

Emgwen subcounty has 10 confirmed cases, with kapsabet and Kilibwoni wards being the affected areas.

Mosop Subcounty has recorded 9 positive cases from Kabiyet, Ndalat and Kipkaren wards.

Nandi Hills subcounty has 5 cases reported from Ol'lessos and Nandi Hills wards.

Tinderet subcounty has the least number with 4 confirmed cases from Tinderet ward.


According to the data by the county, all the six subcounties have had confirmed cases.

Recoveries

The county has recorded 28 recoveries. 31 cases are still active and so far 2 fatalities have been recorded.

23 of the confirmed cases are females while 38 are male.
