Nandi county employees will have an even longer January after the county government announced that the end of month salary would delay.

In a memo sent to the county employees, dated 31st January 2020, the county secretary Dr. Francis Sang who is also the head of public service stated that the delays would be occassioned by delayed disbursement of funds by the National Treasury.

The salary delays is expected to slow down service delivery by the thousands of county employees who had to endure the same predicament late last year after the county funds were withheld by the National Treasury over non payment of pending bills.

It is not yet clear how long the employees will have to wait before receiving their end of January salaries.
