Kalenjin Online Community Raises Ksh 1 Million for Ailing Content Creator Rosaline Tapnyolei

Kenyan content creators have once again shown the power of unity. Led by the popular comedian Arap Uria, they came together yesterday to support their colleague Rosaline Tapnyolei, also known by his real name Eliud Lagat, who is battling a severe eye condition that has left him nearly blind.

The Arap Uria fundraiser, streamed live on his official page, drew massive support from fans and fellow entertainers. In just 12 hours, the online community managed to raise an impressive Ksh 1 million, a remarkable show of solidarity in Kenya’s digital entertainment space.

Tapnyolei has been struggling with the eye problem for a while, making it difficult to continue his work as a content creator. With these new funds, he is expected to undergo specialized eye surgery that could help him regain his vision and return fully to content creation.

The successful initiative was supported not only by Arap Uria but also by well-known figures such as MC Masir, Gogo Small, KAPKENO, and many others who mobilized their audiences to contribute.

This story has quickly become one of the most inspiring Kenya online fundraisers in 2025, proving that when united, both creators and fans can make a life-changing impact. It also cements Arap Uria’s role as not just an entertainer but a strong community mobilizer in the Kenyan digital space.

At a time when many young people rely on content creation for income, this fundraiser has highlighted the importance of solidarity in the entertainment industry.
