Netizens left talking after a Ksh 45,000 Kalenjin initiation program is revealed

Earlier this week a section of netizens were left talking after a ksh. 45,000 initiation ceremony was revealed. In the poster, the organization identified as Accountable Leadership Forum announced that it will be holding a boys initiation ceremony at Murgusi Manor, Uasin Gishu County.

The Kalenjin community organizes such ceremony during the long December holidays where the initiates spend about a month in a secluded area and taught about cultural values and how to transition from young boys into adulthood.

This new development is a deviation from previous norms where the events were organized in villages where young boys would after their KCPE face the cut together, in their villages.
