Trans Nzoia; 17 year old student dies of suspected ethanol consumption

Detectives in Trans Nzoia have launched investigations into the death of a 17 year old form 4 student who allegedly died after consuming ethanol while in school.

Steve Rodgers was a form four student at Kapsitwet Secondary School, Kwanza Sub county. He succumbed sunday night while receiving treatment at Kitale County Hospital.

The late Rodgers and another student are suspected to have consumed ethanol while at school on Sunday in unclear circumstances. The other student is also receiving treatment at the county facility.

The body of Rodgers is lying at the Kitale Hospital Morgue as the investigators continue piecing evidence on how the students got hold of the ethanol.
