The group consists of 16 divers drawn from the counties of Elgeiyo Marakwet and Baringo and are based at the Cheploch gorge which borders the two counties.

The team has been making headlines for their daring exploits. From entertaining tourists by diving from exponential heights, to camping in flooded rivers in search of missing bodies, their diary always seems to be full of dangerous exploits.
According to the members of the team, they have been unable to get certification for their diving skills owing to the high fees required to acquire the documents. "It cost atleast Ksh. 175,000/= to get the certificate." Said one member of the group when he was interviewed on a live show hosted by Alfred-Koech-Sergent
Challenges
The group says it encouters a number of challenges ranging from mobility to psychological counselling after their missions.
Ours involves witnessing things that cannot be spoken of, we have retrieved bodies that have been missing for a number of days, decomposed bodies are what we encounter sometimes. Said one of the members of the team.
The other challenge they mentioned was the lack of proper diving gears and equipment. They noted that the lack of proper gear made it harder for them to conduct successful rescue missions.
The team also called on governmental and non govermental organizations to join hands and sponsor them so that they can acquire the relevant certifications.
Nation Africa Senior Sports Editor Elias Makori also joined in the conversation and promised to link the team with contacts of people who could enroll them in trainings to enable them compete in diving competitions across the globe.
