Impressive! Powerful CV of Dr. Eng. Joseph Siror, CEO KPLC

That the newly appointed CEO of Kenya Power and Lighting Company is an astute academic powerhouse, is not a secret.

Siror is an alumni of the prestigious University of Nairobi, School of Engineering. He holds a BSC in Electrical engineering, Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a post graduate certificate in Applied Radiation from the institution.

Dr. Siror also holds a Bachelor’s of Law from the University of London and a Pre-Kenya school of law certificate feom Riara University.

He also holds a PHD in Engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong University (China).

Previous work

By the time of his appointment as the CEO KPLC, Dr. Siror was the General Manager Incharge Technical Services at Kenya Electricity Transmission Company (KETRACO).

"He has over 30 years in diverse business portfolios ranging from Telecommunications, income tax and customs, manufacturing, ICT and energy Transmission." The KPLC board stated.

He has previously worked as a Director of Science, technology and innovation, Senior Assistant Commissioner at KRA and at the Kenya posts and Telecommunications corporation.

Friendship with Ruto

It is evident that Dr. Siror has been a friend of the president since way back.

In the photo above, Dr. Ruto and Dr. Siror are somewhere sharing the gospel through their North Rift Evangelistic team (NORET).

Dr. Siror has taken over the power company at a time where the cost of electricity has gone up in the country, and the government working hard to reduce the same.
