Nandi first term Senator Samson Cherargei has given indication that he will be running for Governor seat come 2022.
In a move expected to raise eyebrows, the senator now joins a number of candidates interested in unseating governor Sang.
Cherargei was expected to defend his senate seat and it is still unclear why he chose to go for the gubernatorial seat.
If he wins, the senator will be following a trajectory similar to Sang's who also rose to the seat from the senate.
Cherargei is now expected to run against Sang, Allan Kosgey, Cleophas Lagat, Antipas Tirop among other Contestants yet to declare their interests.
