| Rift Valley Regional Coordinator George Natembeya |
Rift Valley regional coordinator George Natembeya has warned all lazy contractors behind stalled projects in the region that they will be arrested and charged.
Mr. Natembeya who was speaking to NTV said some contractors who win huge government tenders usually leave projects incomplete despite using millions of taxpayers' money.
'We are aware of many projects whose completion are yet to be finalised...some are at 40% or 70%...those at 90% for instance cannot offer services to wananchi and therefore there is no value for their money," Natembeya said.

The administrator said his team was working round the clock supervising projects around the Rift Valley region and that his team had inspected more than 1,200 projects in the region with more to go.
"We have a history where projects are seen to have been completed on paper but when you visit the sites, things are completely different. So when a contract is awarded we are now able to monitor closely in order for it to be completed within the scheduled period," he said
"If however we come to your site three or four times and find that no progress has been made since the last visit, then we will just arrest you...we have no time to waste as you are the one who applied for the tender," added the firm administrator.
