Kandara Member of Parliament Hon. Alice Wahome has refuted claims that she has resigned from her Kandara Constituency Seat.
In a post on twitter, LSK President Nelson Havi had stated that the lawmaker had decided to resign from her seat as a way to heed to Maraga's advisory to the President.
"Hon. Alice Wahome member of National Assembly for Kandara Constituency has confirmed that she will resign following the advise by Chief Justice David Maraga to President Uhuru Kenyatta to dissolve parliament. Who else has taken this cause we support him/her for re-election?" Havi had posted.
The Kandara legislator took to tweeter to refute the claims by Havi.
"I have seen a post by Nelson Havi LSK President circulating in the social media that I will resign from Kandara Parliamentary Seat by reason of CJ Maraga advisory of dissolution of parliament. Advisory is directed against parliament not individual members. I'm not resigning." Posted Wahome.

The advisory by the Chief Justice has elicited mixed reactions in the country. A section of MPs allied to William Ruto have called on president Kenyatta to dissolve parliament as advised by the CJ.
The Law Society of Kenya has also voiced its opinion on the matter. In a conference, LSK President Nelson Havi called on President Kenyatta to adhere to the advisory by the CJ and termed parliament unconstitutional.
President Kenyatta, William Ruto have remained silent on the matter. Opposition leader Raila Odinga called for sobriety on the matter and extensive dialogue.
Focus now shifts to President Kenyatta.
