Nandi County Senator, Samson Cherargei has threatened to petition the National Assembly to initiate the removal of health Cabinet Secretary, Mutahi Kagwe.
Speaking at a local media house, the senator said that the CS and his PS should be made to take responsibility for the mess in the ministry.
This comes barely a few days after the ministry was exposed for misappropriation of public funds meant for Covid-19.

The health ministry has in the recent past been on the spotlight after allegations of theft of donations from Chinese philanthropist Jack Ma and also the exaggerated prices with which PPEs were procured.

CS Mutahi Kagwe has come out to deny wrongdoing on his part stating that KEMSA which is at the centre of the controversy acted independently.
Cherargei who has fashioned himself as the people's defender stated that it was imperative that all the officials step aside for a proper audit to be done.
