"I will deliver on my promise for service delivery in Nairobi", says President Uhuru

President Uhuru Kenyatta has today promised the residents of Nairobi that he will not be derailed by politics in the delivery of services.

Speaking at KICC on Wednesday in an event attended by Lands PS Dr. Nicholas Muraguri, Nairobi governor Mike Sonko, NMS Director General Mohamed Badi and Nairobi regional coordinator Kang'ethe Thuku among other senior government officials, the president presided over the issuance of 2,100 title deeds to land owners in Nairobi.

He also promised to issue 28,000 more title deeds to members of Embakasi ranching in the next two weeks and advised the land owners not to be duped into selling off their land.

Since 2013, the government has issued over 5 million title deeds to various land owners all over the country.

The president asked Nairobi governor Mike Sonko to stop side shows and work with NMS in order to deliver services to Nairobians, whereby the NMS is credited with sinking 200 boreholes to supply free water, building 21 new hospitals and upgrading of access roads in the city.

Sonko promised to work with the NMS henceforth and thanked the president fo the NMS projects that are transforming the city.

Maj. General Badi on his part assured the president that he is committed to deliver on the mandate given to him by the national government.
