Caren Kibbett, the sensational K24 TV sports anchor has stated that she landed her job at the Media Max Company while still studying. She was speaking during a live interview on facebook, hosted by Alfred Koech-Sergent who is a Kenyan athlete based in Perth, Western Australia.

Born in Elgeiyo Marakwet, the young anchor moved to Nairobi at age 5 with her family where she schooled before moving to Sing'ore girls for her high school studies and later joined the University of Nairobi where she is currently pursuing her Bachelor's of Arts degree in Broadcast production.

"I was in my third year when a neighbor who used to work for Royal media services told me that K24 was looking for sports interns," Said Ms. Caren.

This information is what aroused her interests, opting to seek an opportunity at the media house.

Caren drafted an application letter and personally dropped it at the media house offices.

Days later, she was contacted by the media house and an interview was scheduled. This news excited her.

She went into the interview where she met Torome Tirike and the HR manager. " I was excited after the interview, I gave it my best and felt that something good would come out of it." Said Caren.

"A few days later, I was called and told that I had been successful." She said.

Once she received the good news, she began her stint at the media house where she worked for more than a year without any salary.

She was later absorbed by Media max limited where she is currently a sports anchor on K24 TV.

Caren stated that she's looking into ways she can partner with like minded individuals to give back to the society, especially the young girls back in her home county, ELGEIYO MARAKWET.
