With the global spread of Covid-19 virus, governments will have to relook into their respective healthcare systems. The virus disconnected the entire globe. We are now left with a situation where no one wants to welcome the other in their countries.

In Kenya, the National and county governments need to enhance the budgetary allocation to the health sector. Ensure that each financial year we build and equip hospitals with adequate resources to combat any form of disease.

I can only imagine what the terminally ill patients are currently going through. Imagine someone who was to travel to India for a medical procedure, what are they really going through right now?

Our legislative arms; parliament and county assemblies needs to up their game. They should ensure that funds are set aside and medicare in the country is subsidized, case in point India and Cuba who have admirable health systems.

Let us use this current pandemic to relook into our systems. Lets enhance it, lets set standards to be admired globally. We have among the best workforce globally, they just need the system that favors and cares for them.
