A neighbour to a lady living in disability has appealed to Kenyans to come to the aid of one Lucy Chepkorir, a resident of Nandi County, Kabisaga ward, Kimolwet village.

According to the appeal posted by Australian based Kenyan Alfred Koech Sergent, the lady has been living in a tough situation all through her life.
The concerned neighbor identified as Sheila has narrated how Chepkorir has endured suffering which has majorly been elevated due to her condition.

Chepkorir was born twenty years ago, and developed an epileptic condition, something she's had to live with all her life. The condition has been made worse because she can't be able to afford the medication needed to contain the situation.
She comes from a humble background with the mother as the sole provider depending on manual labor to feed the family. The father was involved in an accident and has been incapacitated too.

At one point due to her condition, Chepkorir fell on fire which resulted in burns on her leg and she lost part of it as a result. She stays alone most of the days due to the fact that her mom goes out to fend for the family.
She developed some complications and has been unable to function properly for the past five years. She has been bedridden for that entire period.
When her mom leaves for work, she is left outside alone and this has made her vulnerable to sexual predators. A sad situation this is!
Her neighbour Sheila, shared this predicament. She has requested that something be done so that the lady can get access to medication. The medicine required costs Ksh 50bob daily, she also requires clothing and adult diapers to enable her get comfortable as she can't move easily. She also needs some new bedding and probably enrolment into the NHIF.
