Tragic; Body found in gurney bag identified as that of Uasin Gishu woman

A body of a middle aged woman has been discovered badly mutilated.

According to information making rounds online, the body belongs to the late Rachel Cherop of Kiplombe.

The mutilated body found in Mutwot area some days ago has been identified to be that of Rachel Cherop Kibiwott of Kiplombe.

Before her demise, Cherop served as an accountant at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, where she last reported to work on 22nd June 2024.

Her colleagues expected her to show up at work as usual the next day but she was nowhere to be seen, an unusual thing that raised eyebrows at her workplace.

On Monday at around midday her phone went off and panic set in amongst her colleagues in the department.

After some few hours a damaged and mutilated body (Some parts) is found in a sack at Mutwot area and later on the head is found distant apart (In Uasin Gisu), and upon reaching MTRH Farewell home, it is confirmed that the deceased is Rachel Cherop.

We pray and hope that the perpetrators of this henious act are brought to book and face the full force of the law!

Our prayers are with the family and friends during this difficult moment of grief.

Pole sana.
