The Moving story of patience, dedication, sacrifice transformation that touched Mama County's heart

On Sunday, 15th Oct 2023 Hon Cynthia J Muge visited Chemori Self Help Group. She went there fully handed and left a lot of goodies for the industrious community group.
The Visit came after the story of Chemori Self Help Group which is engaging in community development such construction of a water project, Matters conservation and helping needy students pay off arrears through the bi-weekly contribution of Ksh. 20 went viral.

Hon Cynthia Muge pledged 90% support to completion of the community water Project while the other 10% Will be covered by the Community through their contributions.
To ease the burden of the cost of education, she committed to offer full scholarship to five (5) students from the community. That was not enough, The women representative in collaboration with other leaders are keen to ensure that the new ManMan secondary school gets TSC teachers and Desks.

The women were also encouraged to tender applications for the Newly introduced Mama na Kahawa programme.
Coffee is currently regarded as the 'Black Gold' because of its high value and considered as one of the traded commodity in several countries.The programme is an economic stimulus programme that will see women put money in their pockets.

Muge is set to make another visit to the same group early January to check on the progress of the project.
Ecogreen under the patronage of Ibrahim Kibiwott pledged to put up a tree nursery for the group, support the group with a desktop to help them in record keeping and transition to digital world in terms of operations. The non governmental body also promised to ensure the group transitions from a self help to a CBO in order to accommodate more members and expand its work amongst other support pledged.
