The event which is slated for 14th February is expected to take place at the Kaiboi Technical training college grounds which is in Mosop Subcounty.
According to Maureen who is the organizer, the event is expected to remind the society on the need to embrace and appreciate the elderly.
" We are organizing this event as an appreciation to the elderly. It is because of them that we have grown into who we are." She said.
The Arise Nandi Empowerment Initiative focuses on women training on financial skills, youth empowerment, awareness campaigns, environmental conservation and care for the old in the society.
MEDICAL CAMP
Through partnership with Reale hospital and the Lions Club Eldoret, the organization has organized for medical check up and screening for the elderly.
FUND RAISING
Miss Maureen is asking for partners and well wishers to chip in to make the day a success. "We have a budget, but that's not enough. we are selling t-shirts at Ksh.1000/= to raise funds for the event. We are therefore calling upon well wishers and interested parties to chip in and make this day a success and memorable to our elders." said Maureen.
